West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences admission is a yearly process. Admission to various courses offered by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences is made on the basis of a merit list. WBUAFS Campus Facilities and Infrastructure

WBUAFS campus is located in three places in Kolkata. The headquarters address is 68, K.B. Sarani, Belgachia, Kolkata- 700037. West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences campus has all the facilities required by animal and fishery students to study their respective fields. WBUAFS facilities are all listed below. 

Central Instrument Laboratory: A central instrument laboratory is under construction now. The central laboratory will be highly beneficial for the practical learning of the students. 

Hostel Accommodation: Belgachia, Mohanpur, and Chakgaria campuses have separate hostels for men and women. Students may be eligible for hostel accommodations on their respective campuses, provided there are available seats. The allocation of hostel seats is carried out under the guidance of the Dean of Students' Welfare at the university. There are a total of six boys' hostels and three girls' hostels. West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences hostel fees vary from Rs 3000 to Rs 8000 per semester depending on the course you choose. 

Guest House: The university has a guest house that can be booked by students. 

Medical Services: The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences offers basic medical services for its students and staff. These services are free of cost.

Clinic/Hospitals: The university campus also has a clinic and a hospital.

Wifi Access: All the campuses of the WBUAFS has free wifi for its students and faculty.

Central Library: The central library of WBUAFS is located on all three campuses. The library has 23793 printed books, 235 e-books and 10 e-journals. The WBUAFS library has facilities like free internet access, a photocopy machine, a scanner, Online Public Access Cataloguing (OPAC), a wide range of books, e-books (EBSCO) and e-journals access. A few library units are located at Mohanpur and Chakgaria. 

Directorate of Research (DREF): The WBUAFS has a research wing which is called the Directorate of Research (DREF). The University oversees research projects undertaken by its various units, and actively participates in providing extension services to livestock owners and stakeholders by offering training and consultation services.

Submission of PDC/Final Transcript is obligatory with the application form.

They must also have obtained at least 55% marks overall in their Master's degree or 2.75 GPA on a 4.00-point scale or 6.75 on a 10-point scale. Furthermore, they must possess a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary and Animal Sciences (5 years), Dairy Technology (4 years) or Fishery Sciences (4 years) from a recognised university or national institute.
DVPRs 12,650 (For 1st semester, Rs 5000 from 2nd semester onwards)Candidates must have passed their class 12  examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics as mandatory subjects and a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, OBCA, OBC-B, PwD) in these subjects.
